How we select materials for our mooring equipment

It is Wednesday morning, 9 o’clock. A truck enters the Straatman factory site. The driver gets out and reports to the reception. Our receptionist refers him to the unloading dock at the side of the building. The canvas on cargo space of the truck is pushed aside and we see a number of thick steel plates. They are quickly unloaded with our cranes and immediately labelled with a unique identification number. The journey to become a Quick Release Hook has begun. Straatman secures Finkenwerder project in Germany

Machinefabriek L. Straatman wins order for Finkenwerder project in Germany! We are happy to announce that we have secured a new order for our solar power supply systems in combination with our quick release mooring hooks to be delivered to the Port of Hamburg.

The systems will be installed on 19 Dolphins in the Elbe close to the Finkenwerder area.

Customized ø750 mm. bow coupling installation

A customized bow coupling installation ø750 mm. is designed, engineered and produced in our facilities in Zwijndrecht, The Netherlands. This bow coupling is executed with an  integrated rainbow nozzle system. This system is automatically operated by hydraulic power enabling the client to use Straatman’s bow coupling installation for both rainbowing as well as connection to the floating pipeline.

Quick Release Pinch Ball Joint ø1000 (37/45 Bar)

Invented, designed and produced in our production facilities in Zwijndrecht – The Netherlands. With passion, dedication and more over EXPERTISE we have successfully delivered this ø1000 (37/45 Bar) quick release pinch ball joint. This ball joint is used on one of the biggest cutter suction dredgers on the world, and will realize a safe and quick connection between the dredger and the floating pipeline. Main application of this part is the quick release function.

100T Quick Release Mooring Hooks and Berthing Aid System

Recently we completed a mooring hook project with a successful factory acceptance test as result. This project contained 8 sets of quadruple quick-release mooring hooks of 100T. All hook units were ordered with full options, including automatic release, integrated mooring load monitoring system, explosion proof certified and integrated capstans.
